MAY 2013
Rain is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service obligation in the Republic of Korea Army.  His enlistment date was October 11, 2011.  Military service is required for all able-bodied male ROK citizens, from the ages of 19 to 37 years of age.  The normal length of service can be anywhere from 22-26 months.  Rain's scheduled release date is set for July 10, 2013. (Only 7 weeks left, Clouds! :-})

Rain began his stint as an active-duty soldier at the 306 Reserve Battalion, in the city of Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province.  After graduating from basic training, in February 2012, he began a stint as an Assistant Instructor in his basic training unit.  On March 13, he was transferred to the ROK Army's Public Relations Division and began serving as an entertainment soldier and a military ambassador.  For more information on how and where to write to Rain, please visit Cloud USA's Media Blog

Cloud USA's Yellow Ribbon for Rain Calendar project is now complete.  Cloud USA would like to send out a special thank you to all of Rain's Clouds who participated in this special calendar project.  A physical, spiral-bound version of the calendar was shipped to Rain, for his personal enjoyment.  A FREE digital version of the calendar may be downloaded from our Media Blog RIGHT HERE.  We hope all of you will enjoy using the calendar to count down the months with us until Rain's release back into civilian life.

Rain's Clouds everywhere are enjoying watching Rain's most recent movie, R2B:  Return to Base.  The movie was released domestically on August 15, 2012 and internationally on August 24, 2012.  We have been greatly enjoying all of the fan accounts of the film and we certainly enjoyed seeing it on our own big screen here in Atlanta.  The DVD, re-titled Black Eagle, will be released in North America on March 12, 2013.  It is available for pre-order on Amazon.com. To order your own copy of Black Eagle, visit our STORE PAGE and click on the Black Eagle DVD link/image in the Amazon.com section, or click on the following link: BLACK EAGLE

Global Clouds joined together for an extremely rewarding charitable ticket project, which enabled over 700 needy children to attend a Global Preview of R2B: Return to Base on the evening of August 14, an event which was sponsored by Rain's official fan club, The Cloud, Rainy Entertainment and CJ Entertainment.  We truly hope the children had a spectacular time.

Cloud USA will continue to work hard to scout out news of Rain, even while he is serving with the ROK Army.  So, please stay tuned to find out what Rain might have in store for us next.  It may be more than you think.  :-}

Wishing you many Rainy days,  Terri :-} @ cloudusa.org
